About Dr Larson

William Larson has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California at Riverside for his work at CERN.

Teaching Experience

For the last 25 years he has taught maths, physics, astronomy and SAT preparation at the middle school, high school and first year university levels. This includes teaching the IB Diploma Program, IGCSE and US high school syllabuses at many different schools from grade 7 to 13, but mostly in the maths department at the La Grande Boissière campus of the International School of Geneva.

Other Achievements

He has been an IB Maths HL Assistant Examiner and received an Educator of Distinction award in 2010 from the National Society of High School Scholars.

Dr Larson is an avid hiker, mountaineer, skier and bicycler. He has two sons and lives in Nyon, Switzerland.
